Winmau Michael van Gerwen Authentic 23g Darts Review
Yeah pretty sure he was using these! I believe that during Promi darts, he was using the Absolute though.

Does someone know what wheigt he uses now? I also heard him say that he is experimenting with with 95% tungsten at the front and 85% at the back.. when he made his final choice will winmau bring out his real match darts?

Kind regards

I am hoping if they do they will be a little longer. I like the new winmau darts but I have found the extra length of the xqmax version to be better balanced. It also means the 23g model is a little thinner
Darts:  Harrows Chizzy 22g
Shafts: Medium Harrows Supergrip
Flights: Harrows Prime

Im curious, i receive them tomorrow. Just getting used to the 23g xqmax version... got to say they fly nice! I always threw 22g but its time for a new chapter in my book so started the MVG way Wink I love players who are loyal to their dart.. Sorry Peter Wright Smile Do you a feel a big diffirence in grip or throw? Maybe you just get to get used to them? Succes

The grip is very nice easily as good as the xqmax version. I just wish they were a little thinner. I think I could get used to the length but making them 85% tungsten is odd to me. I feel they have sacrificed the original mvg design in order to get them to sit price wise into their mvg range which I think is a shame.

The top of the range black model have very similar specs to his old darts but with a totally different grip. I am sure his 85 / 95% hybrid will be around 53mm in length so hopefully he loves them and they bring them out

I never really understood the 85/95 concept. To get the same result in terms of balance, it's easier to make the entire dart out of 95% tungsten and just drill out the back.

This is what he is playing now, extra rings at the back..
